Thieves who stuffed four cows into their car had to abandon their getaway vehicle after it broke down.

The Proton Wira couldn't withstand the weight of the Malaysian cattle for long - leaving the crooks with no choice but to make a runner.
According to Metro, they used a blowpipe to tranquilise the beasts before shoving one into the boot and the other three in the back over the fold-down seats.
The car was found nearby in Penang with all four cows still inside.
The group reportedly split up with one driving the car while the other two were on motorbikes, and police say they are still on the run.
