47-yr-old man rapes daughter.
A 47-year-old man, Solomon Ojo, was on Monday arraigned in an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court, Ogun State for alleged rape of his daughter.
Ojo, who lives on Abinuyo Street., Ijoko, in Ota, was charged with one count of rape.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Rosemary Brown, told the court that the accused committed the offence sometime at his residence.
Brown said the accused forcefully had carnal knowledge of his daughter (name withheld).
She said the offence contravened Section 358 of the Criminal Code, Vol. 1, Revised Law of Ogun State, 2006.
Mystery disease kills 18 in Ondo State : FG, WHO confirm methanol as cause of disease
The Federal Ministry of Health and World Health Organization, WHO, say that the consumption of contaminated alcohol (gin) is believed to be responsible for the outbreak of the strange disease that has claimed at least 18 lives in Ondo state. At a joint press conference today, the Minister of State for Health, Mr Fidelis Nwankwo said the disease is not in anyway related to Ebola virus disease as was earlier speculated.

Kidnapping is our family business, says arrested nanny
The nanny, who kidnapped three children in the Surulere area of Lagos State, has said her husband, Waheed Kareem, is the mastermind of the kidnap.
She added that Kareem was the head of a kidnap ring that involved some members of his family. It was gathered that Kareem escaped arrest.
The nanny, who adopted a pseudonym, Mary Akinloye, to deceive the Orekoyas, confessed that her actual name was Funmilayo Adeyemi, a 35-year-old indigene of Osun State.

The video which was aired on Kenya's Nairobi news, the nanny, who is a mother of a three month old child, is seen offering her breasts to the baby who sucked for a few seconds and then refused to continue. Seeing that the child was no longer cooperating, the house help dropped the child to play.
The child's mum had installed a nanny camera in her home to monitor the maid she'd employed just two days before the incident. She said when the nanny was confronted, she first claimed that the baby was the one playing with her breast but later admitted when she was told she'd been filmed doing the unnatural act. The woman called the police who arrested the maid and later posted the video to her Facebook page.

Ambode wins Lagos Governorship election
Akinwunmi Ambode is the winner of the governorship election in Lagos state. According to results from various polling booths in Lagos, Ambode defeated his closest rival, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to clinch position as new governor of Lagos. Agbaje and his deputy where also defeated in their polling units by Ambode.
Rapper Nelly arrested after police find meth, marijuana and numerous handguns on his tour bus.
Rapper and reality TV star Nelly is facing felony drug charges after being arrested in Tennessee on Saturday.
Tennessee Highway Patrol said in a news release that Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes, was pulled over about 9:20 a.m. because the bus he was riding in failed to display a U.S. Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association sticker.
Upon searching the vehicle, Highway Patrol found methamphetamines, marijuana and handguns.
The 40-year-old hitmaker was released from jail after paying $10,000 bond later the same day.

Original Source: Girija Srinivas may look like a toddler, but she is actually a teenager trapped in a two-year-old's body.
The 19-year-old, from Bangalore in India, was born with congenital agenesis, meaning her limbs failed to fully develop and leaving her just two and a half feet tall and weighing a mere 12kg.
Her head is so heavy in comparison to her body she is unable to even sit up and doctors have said that there is a chance she could suffer a fracture if she tries to rotate her neck quickly.
Her condition means the teenager struggles to even do the most basic household chores by herself.
But against the odds, and with her friends and family behind her, Girija is carving out a career as an artist.

HIV-positive man who 'raped two 12-year-old girls and got one of them pregnant' pleads not guilty to 19 charges
An HIV-positive Ohio man accused of sexually assaulting three girls has pleaded not guilty to 19 counts in court, where a prosecutor said one of them, a 12 year old, is pregnant.
Keith Anthony Allen, 27, of Columbus pleaded not guilty Monday to charges including rape, felonious assault and gross sexual imposition.
He remains jailed with no bond, and court records listed no attorney for him.
Allen is accused of raping two 12-year-old girls since September and fondling a third girl.

A California mother has been accused of setting her seven-year-old daughter on fire this weekend.
Porche Wright, 27, was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon on attempted murder charges.
According to a news release from the Sacramento Police Department, Porche was arrested on Saturday after the suspect's friend and neighbors reported seeing Wright pour gasoline on her daughter then light her with a match.

Unknown Gunmen reportedly attacked the bus conveying them to the airport. Thankfully, nobody was injured except for the bus driver.
