A pervert pensioner tried to force a woman into performing a sex act on him in return for mowing her lawn.
Grandfather Daniel Farrington refused to take no for answer after he cut the grass of the unsuspecting homeowner.
Yesterday, the 70-year-old was jailed for two years for his seedy advances towards the woman.
Farrington batted off suggestions of a bottle of wine or money in return for carrying out the gardening work.
Believing it to be a joke, Farrington was allowed to mow the lawn the following day in Southport, Merseyside, but made his lewd approach after completing the work.
Waving away his £10 payment, he said: "I told you what I want. I’ve been thinking about it all night. Come on."
The odd-job man added: "Go on. It won’t take long. It’s not that big."
Liverpool Crown Court heard how Farrington then grabbed the victim’s arms and pushed her into another room in the house, trying to get her on the sofa on May 19.
The woman managed to break free, but spotted that his zip was down as she frantically tried to escape.
Farrington, who was soon arrested, denied all the allegations but was found guilty at trial last month of common assault and common assault with the intention of committing a sexual offence.
Sarah Holt, defending, said her client had "lost much" including his good name and his savings because of the conviction.
Judge Brian Lewis, said: "It gives nobody any pleasure to see somebody of your age and background standing in the dock in crown court facing allegations of this kind.
"You have shown no remorse. Your intention was to commit oral sex or, as it is described these days, rape.
"You didn’t get very far towards committing it beside unzipping your trousers and describing your p**** as not very big.”
