Two former lovers, Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo at WAR: Jordin returns BMW gift from Jason only to find out it's a lease

The two broke up in September and soon after she vowed to return the champagne-coloured BMW that he gifted her the Christmas before.

And Jordin Sparks stuck to her word when she recently attempted to take the vehicle back to the dealership after alleging ex-boyfriend Jason Derulo didn't want it.

But she got a nasty surprise when she found out the car was actually leased and not purchased - which the Ridin' Solo star has strongly denied.

Jordin told the radio hosts: 'Keeping it would be like dirty money'

Jordin explained of the car: 'If he wanted it, he could have it. I dropped it off at the BMW dealership and said, "You can deal with it."' 

 Jason, 25, refuted the claims, taking to his Instagram to share a photo of the bill of sale to prove he bought the car outright.

He captioned the image, which showed the paperwork with his full name Jason J. Desrouleaux: 'Women Lie, Men Lie, Numbers Don't Lie! #WhyLease #BreakfastClub'
