Taye Diggs and wife, Idina Menzel finally finalise their divorce... a year after ending their 10-year marriage

Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have finally called time on their marriage.

According to TMZ, the couple - who had been married for 10 years - have finalised their divorce, which took them almost a year to get to after separating last December.

The website reports that actor Taye filed papers for divorce in November in New York.

It then goes on to add proceedings went quickly and quietly, with the divorce being finalised on December 3, hinting that they had spent the previous year sorting out the finer points of their agreement - such as custody over their son.

The couple tied the knot in January 2003, after having met on the set of the original Broadway version of musical Rent, in which they both starred, as well as the movie version later on.

They welcomed their son Walker Nathaniel Diggs in September 2009.
