Shocking!!! 30-yr-old son, 'executed father, 70, with a single gunshot to the head.


The founder of a $200 million hedge fund has been shot dead by his 30-year-old son in the family's Manhattan apartment, police claim.
Thomas Gilbert, creator and chief investment officer of Wainscott Capital, was killed with one bullet to the head, allegedly fired by Princeton University graduate Thomas Gilbert Jr at 3.30pm on Sunday
The 30-year-old was seen slipping past the doorman in a hoodie five minutes before the attack. 
According to the New York Post, 70-year-old Gilbert Sr, who also went to Princeton, was in his bedroom when his son barged in.
By 3.32pm, police say, Gilbert Jr had fled.

The son was seen walking out of the building in Manhattan's Turtle Bay area covering his face with his hoodie.
Gilbert Sr's wife found her husband dead within a minute of the attack and called 911, police said. It is unclear whether she was at home at the time.
Police recovered a Glock 22 .40-caliber handgun from the scene and have launched a manhunt for Gilbert Jr.
Gilbert Sr started Wainscott Capital in 2011, and it is now worth $200 million. 
He attended Princeton and Harvard Business School before a 40-year career on Wall Street.
According to Wainscott Capital's website, he had extensive knowledge of the stock market, private equity, real estate and the fixed income market.
