The Nigerian athlete has been making recent headlines in this year’s IAAF Diamond League.
During the 100m on Thursday in Lausanne, Blessing stumbled out of the blocks and failed to finish. However, on Saturday, the 25-year-old won the women’s 200m at Paris Diamond League, beating favourite Allyson Felix of the USA. She finished in 22.32 secs.
Blessing currently ranks as number 1 on the 200m Women Diamond League table! The next Diamond League will take place in Glasgow.

Blessing will represent Nigeria at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23rd to August 3rd 2014. Blessing will take part in the women’s 100m, 200m, and 4X100m events.
