Boko Haram sect has confirmed their intention to attack the ivory tower in Borno State. In a letter reportedly sent by the sect, they expressed their readiness to strike various areas in Maiduguri, the state capital, among which is the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). The terrorist group based their anger to destroy the city and kill indigenes for being happy with the security agencies whenever there is a slip in any of Boko Haram misadventure.
They warned residents to avoid the ever busy Maiduguri – Damaturu – Bauchi road, Damba – Biu – Gombe road as they are ready to cause bloodshed in those places.
This is not the first time the sect has threatened to attack UNIMAID, as they had earlier made similar threat last year, stating their hatred for any academic structure in the state.
