67 bags of drugs seized in Kaduna February 16, 2016

The police in Kaduna State on Monday intercepted 33 bags of hemp, as well as 34 baskets of other hard drugs in Kaduna town, the state Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu, said.
The commissioner, while displaying the illicit drugs at the command’s headquarters in the state capital, said his men also arrested over 150 drug-related suspects currently being prosecuted in courts.

Umar said men of the command recovered 10 bags of hemp hidden in used cement bags with 10 cartons of hard drugs, as well as 17 jerrycans of liquid toxicant acid from suspects.
The police chief said, “We intercepted these drugs in Kaduna town. We will continue to do our best in containing this menace in view of the negative consequences of drugs in the society.

The commissioner added that the intercepted drugs would be handed over to the state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
“Hard drugs are strong motivation for rape and other vices, and we will continue to do our best to discourage their sale.
