Police arrest 50-year-old man for raping pupil by roadside

A 50-year-old man, Kelvin Ezeigbo has been apprehended by the police for reportedly raping a 10-year-old pupil, Esther, by the roadside in Oke-Ira, Ogba, Lagos.

It was learnt that Esther and Ezeigbo were neigbours on Olatunde Close, where the victim resides with her aunt.

Ezeigbo, a father of two, had reportedly given the minor some money and persuaded her to follow him, but she refused. It was learnt that the suspect resorted to force, dragging her into a tricycle parked by the roadside. It was gathered that the aunt on April 26 around 9pm sent Esther on an errand and she was returning home when the suspect waylaid her.

Federal Polytechnic, Bida, suspends lecturer for raping student

THE Federal Polytechnic, Bida, has suspended a lecturer in the Department of Public Administration for allegedly raping an ND1 student in the department.

Our correspondent gathered that the lecturer was caught in the act.

Elkana said the victim had been receiving treatment at the school medical centre.The Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Police Command, Bala Elkana, confirmed the incident, adding that the culprit would remain in police custody pending the completion of investigation.

Source: THE Rivers State Police Command has arrested a woman, Mrs. Abigail Brown, for kidnapping her two children to get ransom from her husband.

Brown and her husband’s former driver, identified simply as ThankGod, were said to have kidnapped Abigail’s two children and called the husband to pay a ransom to secure their release.

She confessed that it was frustration that made her to commit the crime, adding that she had no means of survival.Brown initially denied the allegation against her, but later said the act was not intentional.

She claimed that her husband had abandoned her and the two children to suffer, adding that the kidnap was the only means of making some money from her husband.

The 24-year-old said she was forced into quitting her job after angry parents got wind of the raunchy viral clip.

The teacher known only as Miss Clarissa, was on holiday in Cabo San Lucas, a popular holiday spot in Baja California a 15-hour drive and ferry ride away from the school in Ciudad Obregon in the northern Mexican state of Sonora where she had taught for three years.

There was panic at Matogun, in the Lambe area of Ogun State on Tuesday after the police recovered corpses of two missing pupils from a church in the community, Christ Crusaders’ Deliverance Ministry.

The deceased – six-year-old Isaac Ayegbo, a primary 2 pupil, and Ayomide Innocent, 4, who was in Nursery 1 – were reportedly found inside the church’s vehicle after they were declared missing on Sunday.

The deceased’s parents are neigbours.

It was reported that Ayomide’s mother, while travelling to the Republic of Benin on Friday, brought him to Isaac’s mother to look after him.

The children, after taking their lunch on Sunday, were playing outside Ayegbos’ residence, which was opposite the church, when they went missing.

Housewife bathes husband with hot water for denying her sex

An aggrieved housewife, Awele Nwani, 35, has allegedly bathed her husband, Frank Nwani, with hot water, claiming that her hubby denied her sex for three weeks.

But the victim (husband) dismissed her wife’s claim as untrue, saying his wife had been sleeping around.The mother of six children, now on the run, also alleged that her husband had been having sexual affairs outside and threatened to make life unbearable for him.

He said, “My wife has been sleeping around, hence I stopped sleeping with her for three weeks. It is a taboo in my tribe and she violates the laws.”

Frank stressed that his attempts to stop her illicit affairs outside proved abortive when he took the decision to starve her of sex.

A teacher in a private school, Edet Umoren, in Esugbo, Itamerin near Ijebu-Ife, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Thursday, allegedly beheaded a 10-year-old pupil, Precious Adedeji.

Adedeji, who was a pupil of Favour Nursery and Primary School, was the granddaughter of the proprietor, Pastor Joseph Olitoye.

It was gathered that Umoren allegedly killed the pupil because Olitoye owed him N8, 000 – the suspect’s salaries for January and February.

The assailant, who was also said to be the treasurer of the school proprietor’s church, was alleged to have seized Adedeji when she and her friend, Patricia, were returning to the school from where they had gone to buy biscuit.Umoren, also severed off the right hand of the 10-year-old girl after seizing and dragging her into a nearby bush, a day after her birthday.

MTN pays N50bn fine, withdraws suit against FG

Source: OUT of the N1.4 trillion fine imposed on MTN Nigeria by the Federal Government, the telecoms firm has paid N50 billion even as it withdrew its case against government.
The company was sanctioned for its lateness in deactivating 5.1 million subscribers who were not registered properly. The suit was being handled by the Federal High Court, Lagos.
The withdrawal may not be unconnected with the insistence of an appeal by the judge.
The judge had given both parties (MTN and the Nigerian Communications Commission) till March 18, 2016 to settle out of court.

A teenage girl electrocuted herself after trying to charge her phone while taking a bath.

She was killed when the charger, plugged into an extension cord, fell into the water.

Her mother found the 14-year-old and said she was so badly electrocuted that her body had started to burn.

The tragic incident happened in Moscow where the girl lived with her mother, 40, and her older brother.

She had locked the bathroom door and used an extension lead to plug in her phone.

In Germany the killer and his accomplice friend were each caged for 14 years for the horrific crime.

Jud Regina Alex said of Toben, who hatched the plot: “For him the crime was a solution, he wanted a free, happy life which he had control over.
