Husband, 50, knifed wife to death after she told him their marriage was over because she had fallen in love with another Man.

A husband stabbed his wife to death at home after she told him their marriage was over,
His wife 50, had fallen in love with another man and decided to leave her partner of 30 years, Mark Arthur, also 50, a jury was told.
Trial: Prosecutors say Heather Arthur, 50, had fallen in love with the saxophonist in a jazz band she sung with and decided to leave her husband Mark who then stabbed her through the heart

Mrs Arthur returned  home after doing the school run and was stabbed in the heart when she told her husband their marriage was over, the prosecution say.

After killing Mrs Arthur, Mr Arthur went to his doctor's surgery nearby wearing boxer shorts and a top, bursting in on his GP and saying he had hurt his wife.
The 50-year-old has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denies murder on the grounds of loss of control.
However prosecutors say he had known for some time the marriage was in trouble and that Mrs Arthur wanted to separate.
Mark Giuliani, prosecuting at Newcastle Crown Court, told jurors: 'She was exercising control over her life and told him it was definitely over and he didn't like it and he stabbed her.
'That is not a reasonable response to being told something you already had good knowledge of and well knew.'
The court heard the couple met at university in London and had been together for 30 years and married for around 10 years.
Mrs Arthur, who used to work for British Airways, thought the relationship had run its course and
had talked to her husband about splitting.
