A woman stabbed in the eyes by her father-in-law who accused her of having an affair with a Muslim.

This woman was attacked by her father-in-law because he thought she was having an affair with a Muslim man.

Jageer Mirgind was left blind and scarred for life after 51-year-old Manjit Mirgind slashed her wrists and stabbed her in the eyes screaming 'I am going to kill you'.

Her children, just three and six years old, watched the horrific attack at their mother's home in Kensington Gardens, Ilford, East London, and pleaded with their grandfather to stop.

Body of former NAFDAC boss, late Prof Dora Akunyili arrives Nigeria.

Prof. Dora Akunyili's corpse was this evening received by members of her family as well as the former Governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Her body, accompained by her husband Dr Chike Akunyili and younger brother Dr. Anayo Edemobi , was flown into Nigeria in a private jet and conveyed to a mortuary in Abuja in an Ambulance.

Peter Obi told Newsmen, burial plans for the late professor will begin immediately.

Daughter murdered her parents with husband's help and buried them in their back garden

A woman murdered her  parents and buried them in  their back garden with the help of her husband – then told their neighbours and relatives they had moved to Ireland for the ‘good air’, a court heard. 

William and Patricia Wycherley were each shot twice before being wrapped in bedding and ‘stacked’ one on top of the other under the lawn.

Their debt-laden daughter Susan Edwards, 55, and her husband Christopher, 57, buried them on a bank holiday weekend in 1998, the court heard.
