Sorry Miley, Justin and Katy, but there's a new sheriff in town: Bruno Mars.
Billboard has named the 28-year-old crooner 2013's Artist of the Year, beating out Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Rihanna for the number one spot.
The artist was able to dominate the chart thanks to the his 2012 release Unorthodox Jukebox, which has so far sold 1.8 million units.

Hit singles Treasure, When I Was Your Man and Locked Out of Heaven kept the album in the Top 20 every week since release. The disc reached the top of the charts in its 12th week.
In an interview with Billboard, Mars confessed that the album held a special place in his heart.
'I love to create music. And that's all I was trying to do with that album,' said the artist. 'I'm just happy that there's some people out there that like it.'
Rihanna nabbed the fourth place spot on the Top Artists list
Rounding out the list, Swift came in second place, but was also named the year's top female artist.
Justin Timberlake took the third spot, but also took the top spot for album of the year for The 20/20

Rihanna, Ryan Lewis & Mackelmore (also named best newcomer) and Pink came in at fourth, fifth and sixth place, while newbies Imagine Dragons nabbed the seventh spot.
Teen sensations One Direction and headline-grabber Miley Cyrus took eighth and ninth place. Maroon 5 rounded out Billboard's Artists of the Year list at tenth place
